Magical Truck Adventure is one of Sega AM3's oddest and most physical arcade games: a 1998 Sega Model 3 rail ride in which two children pump a handcar along the tracks. In the arcade the cabinet had two big levers that fought back as you pumped them and two foot pedals for dodging and jumping - so large and unusual that it is one of the rarest Model 3 machines.

How to Play Magical Truck Adventure
Pump by alternating the Lever Forward and Lever Back keys - the faster and fuller you pump, the faster the truck goes - and step on the Pedal key to dodge or jump. With one player the game drives the other child. The table shows the starting keys; Controller Mapping changes them.
The Story
Alma owns a stone that lets its holder travel through time and space. The evil genius Mommy wants it to conquer the world, and with his muscle-bound henchman Marrow he tries to snatch it. In the scuffle the stone flings all three to the country town where a young adventurer named Roy lives. Roy rescues Alma, but the villains get away with the stone - so the two children jump on a magical railroad truck and give chase.
Pump, Dodge, Jump
A pumping meter on each side of the screen fills as you pump; the game tells you when to pump harder to escape something behind you or catch the villains ahead. Obstacles on one rail need a dodge from the child on the other side; something in the middle of the track, or a gap, needs a jump. At junctions the pedal picks the safe route or the dangerous one. Too many hits empty the damage meter and the ride is over, with no continue - but a clean run through a set of obstacles earns an achievement for your initials on the leaderboard.
Six Stages, Four Endings
Every game starts at Roy's House, through windmills and forest while Marrow throws barrels back at you. Catch the villains and the stone sends you to the Safari - lions, wildebeest and crocodiles; miss them and you chase them through the South Sea, under the water among the sharks. From there the last stage is the Futuristic City, Dinosaur World or the Fantasy kingdom of castles and dragons, and the ending - good or bad - depends on whether you hold the stone at the finish.

A soundtrack album followed in 1999, and in 2026 the game became one of the playable arcade machines inside Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties.
